Blighters are never welcome in civilized areas because their entire existence is dedicated to spreading disease and sickness. Blighters become the living embodiment of suffering and sickness. The vast majority of Blighters are dedicated to the following Zaalmerphon, Demonic Master of Sickness, but they have been known to follow other demons. One would be tempted to think that a Blighter would not be a serious physical opponent, but they are quickly surprised when they face one in battle. Blighters may never seek healing for their diseases or to be healed in combat. They are fearless combatants and will engage opponents who are vastly superior knowing that the disease may well kill them even if they personally do not. Blighters may not be resurrected, but their bizarre regeneration keeps the strongest ones from succumbing to death.

Rank 1: Contagion: Any food, water or liquid that the Blighter touches becomes infected with a pox that will automatically infect those who eat or drink it. The Blighter is now immune to disease, but becomes a carrier of any disease he or she is exposed to. At this stage the Blighter appears and smells normal. Blighters regenerate 1 FT per pulse once they loose half of their FT.
Rank 3: Plague of boils: Anyone struck by the Blighter must roll under 3 X EN or be struck with boils that will reduce dexterity, agility and beauty. Victims of this plague loose 20% in using any weapon because of painful boils, their TMR is reduced by half and the PB is decreased by 5 because of the boils. At this stage Blighter give off a sour and bitter smell but still appear normal.
Rank 5: Create blight: By expending 1 FT a Blighter may kill off all normal vegetation within 100 square feet. Any animal life in the area is automatically infected and must roll under 2 X EN to avoid coming down with a wasting disease that will cause them to loose 2 EN per day until cured or dead. Blighters now smell horribly, and have developed severe facial distortions that will make those who look upon them fearful. Make a roll on the fright table. Blighters can now regrow or mend a broken bone. A broken bone can be healed overnight, and a severed limb can be regrown in 3 days.
Rank 7: Blighters now regenerate 2 FT per pulse as soon as they are injured. Blighter’s bodies now become awash in strange and exotic diseases that will splash on their opponents whenever they are cut or stabbed in melee or close combat. Opponents must roll under 2 X EN or suffer from a lung and heart disease that reduces the number of their attack by half and their damage by -5. Victims of this dread disease regain no FT or EN while resting or sleeping and will die within 3 days if not healed. Blighters now leave a slimy, foul smelling trail behind and around them that causes any opponent in melee to roll under 3 X AG to remain afoot. Anyone who dies form this disease will rise in 24 hours as a plague zombie under the control of the Blighter. A Blighter may control up to 2 X WP in plague zombies and this may be augmented by Military Scientist.
Rank 8: Blighters must be harmed by magic, magical weapons or fire to prevent them from regenerating after death. Even if beheaded the Blighter’s body will regrow a new head and draw the Blighter’s spirit back to it. By expending 2 FT a Blighter may make its breath acidic and caustic, opponents with in melee suffer D+8 FT loss and will be stunned for two pulses if they fail to roll under 2 X EN.
Rank 10: Leeching: Blighter drains life from a living opponent they strike in combat doing D +1 FT loss, EN when FT is gone. This may be used to augment the FT of the Blighter by up to 50% more than his or her normal FT.
