Masters of the net add 3% per rank on to their base chance. They add +1 damage at ranks 3, 6 and 9. Masters of the net must be full rank in the net before they may choose this skill. They may choose one of the following abilities at rank 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 10.
Carpeting: You lay the net down as a standard action to cover a ten foot by ten foot area of ground (square). Later you may make a trip attack as a free action against everyone standing on the net; you do not risk a counter-trip if any of these attacks fail. You may also make the trip attack as an attack of opportunity whenever anyone steps on the net. Net masters typically carry multiple nets for use with this ability.
Improvised shield: You may use your net as a shield to intercept incoming attacks thus gaining +4% per rank. While using your net as a shield you make attacks at -20% and make one less attack.
Net rake: You can make a quick sweeping attack with the net, using its barbs to cause damage as a regular melee weapon with up to a ten foot reach. Your base chance is decreased by 10% but you do +3 damage and classify as a class B weapon.
Ranged disarm: You may disarm your opponent while they are 10 feet away from you.
Ranged trip: You may perform a trip attack on your opponent while they are 10 feet away.
Shield grab and rake: You perform a normal attack at -15% to entangle your opponent’s shield and then execute a rake attack (+3 damage) ignoring any defense afforded by a shield.
Tighten the hold: In close combat you may -20% from your attack to do double damage to choking your opponent.
Improved choke: Once you begin choking an opponent in close combat you no longer need to score any future hit and will continue choking your opponent.
Extra Attack: You may make an additional attack with your weapon.
