Shifter’s Speech: In whatever form a master assumes they may always communicate in their original language. If they assume the form of an animal or another creature they may communicate with that animal as well.
When a master takes on the form of a creature his stats become the stats of the creature form assumed with the following exception. He maintains his own PC, MA and WP. There is a vague chance that someone will notice something “not quite right” in the form assumed by a master of many forms. Anyone looking at a master’s assumed form rolls under PC to see if they detect something different or out of the ordinary.
Rank 1: Assume the form of a similar race. The master may assume the shape and form of someone within 25% of their own weight and height. This change takes 30 seconds to accomplish
Rank 2: Assume the form of a humanoid of up to 50% difference in height and weight.
Rank 3: Form changing now takes 15 seconds to accomplish.
Rank 4: Assume form of a humanoid with a 75% difference in height and weight. The master may also change gender.
Rank 5: The master may now take the shape of a non humanoid animal.
Rank 6: The master may assume a weight and height difference of 100%
Rank 7: The master may assume a weight and height difference of 150%. Character may now change shape in a single pulse.
Rank 8: The master now possess the special abilities of the form he has taken. This does not give the master the skills or spells of an adopted form, but innate or natural abilities are possible.
Rank 9: The master may now take the form of a creature as small as mouse or as large as a mastodon. The master may also assume the form of a swarm of small creatures up to three hexes in size.
Rank 10: The master may heal any non lethal grievous by simply changing form. The change does not heal endurance damage, just the damage done to the body. The master may assume the form of an inanimate object with a few imperfections present so that the master may maintain some sensory awareness. Anyone inspecting the “object” may roll under PC to notice that something is not correct about it. The master may also take on the form or an ooze or elemental.
