GLAIVE MASTER

The glaive master might be one of the most
dangerous combatants one can encounter. She makes
extensive use of combination attacks, and can
probably do the highest damage possible with her
famed and feared Threefold Strike. But, to perform
these tricky and delicate maneuvers she must take
risks. Glaive masters like to gamble for the big score;
that’s what their training emphasizes. Glaive masters
use a lot of spinning attacks to build up weapon speed
for a telling blow. As such, their combat style can strike
an observer as quite graceful, even dance-like in the
intricacy of its motion. Victims tend to choose other
terms to describe them.
Glaive Masters add 2% per rank on to their base chance. They add +1 damage at ranks 3, 6 and 9.  Glaive
Masters must be full rank in glaive or any class B polearm before they may choose this skill. They may choose one
of the following abilities at rank 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 10.

Deceptive attack: You must hit one target twice with normal base chance and damage, and if successful you may
strike a different opponent who will only benefit from ½ of their defense because of the surprise. If either of the 1st
two hits miss the third automatically fails.

Double spin:  You do half damage with your first hit, but come around with a normal hit with the addition of tripping
an opponent if they fail to roll under 3 X AG.

Double weapon grip: You may strike with the blunt end of your polearm doing D+4 damage with a -20 to hit. This
may be done in addition to other attacks made with the bladed end.

Extended hit: By subtracting 20% from you base chance and -3 to damage you may strike an opponent that is two
hexes away.

Shield plant and strike: You strike you opponents shield with the blunt end of you weapon with a -20% to hit, but
if successful you may then hit him with the bladed end with no defense afforded by the shield.

Shortening the grip: You are able to use you polearm defensively to give you +2% to defense per rank as a
glaive master. While using a shortened grip you suffer -10% to hit and -3 damage.

Spin swing: You forfeit one attack to hit your opponent with double damage.

Threefold strike: You begin the sequence with a normal strike at -20%, spinning your glaive once and striking at
the target, but, just as you’re about to hit you hold the blade back. This carefully controlled strike floods you with
energy. You then spin the glaive once more, this time in the opposite direction, but you hit with the blunt side of the
blade at -15% to hit. Feeding off the rebound from the second hit and the energy from the first you spin the glaive
once more in the original direction and strike the telling blow at -10%. If this all works as planned the third strike
devastates for 4 time normal damage. All the hits must succeed in order for the final hit to succeed.

Extra Attack: You may make an additional attack with your weapon.
