Disciples of the Staff gain the follow benefits per rank: +4% to defense per rank, +2% to base chance, +1 to parry every 2 ranks beginning at rank 2. Rank 1: Improved disarm, if opponent miss by only 20% the Disciple may attempt to disarm.
Rank 3: Improved trip, disciple may use normal base chance to perform trip attack if the Disciple reduces his chance by 20% he or she makes it the trip more difficult to avoid and the opponent only rolls 2 X AG to avoid the trip.
Rank 5: Evade and cast, the Disciple may evade and instead of parrying, he or she may quick cast a spell. Improved disarm now only needs 10% miss in order for an attempt to be made.
Rank 7: At arms length, if the Disciple successful hits a single opponent he or she may opt to keep them held at staff’s length during the next pulse making it impossible for them to attack the Disciple. This is the only attack the Disciple gets, and it may not be attempted multiple times. Extra melee attack with staff.
Rank 8: Kiss it goodbye, a Disciple may attempt a special disarm attack for an additional -20% to disarm modifier. If the move is successful the weapon is knocked a number of hexes equal to half the damage that the hit does.
Rank 10: Bash & blast, the Disciple is now able to cast a spell and execute a normal attack in the same pulse. The Disciple is now also able to parry any miss, and any miss by more than 30% will cause the weapon to be knocked a distance equal to half the damage.
