DISCIPLE OF THE
BOW
Disciples of the Bow are similar in their ability to
Sharpshooters, but they specialize exclusively in
using the bow as their preferred weapon.  While
similar to the sharpshooter in being able to
perform amazing feats of ranged combat,
Disciples are interesting in being able to survive in
the midst of a battle when the enemy has already
engaged you.  Disciples specialize in being able
to launch deadly arrows at opponents in situations
where most archers fail.     Disciples must be full
rank in the bow and possess the subskill of
archery before they can become a member of the
Order.

+1% to hit with bow, +1 to damage at rank 3, 6 & 9,

Rank 2:  Evade and shoot: If a Disciple wins IV he or she may evade and count their rank in the bow toward their
defense.  They may take a shot at their opponent with a -20% to hit in addition to the defense of the opponent.
(The -20% to hit does not apply after a Disciple reaches rank 7.)

Rank 4: Quick Loading:  A Disciple may fire an additional arrow per turn; range is increase by 25% more of the
original range of the weapon.

Rank 5: Bow Trip:  The Disciple is able to use his or her bow to perform a trip attack against an opponent in
melee.  The base chance is 72% + MD – AG of opponent.   Since an opponent would not expect such an attack
they may only roll under 2 X AG to avoid falling prone. Even if they succeed they loose two strikes that pulse
because of the surprise attack.

Rank 7: Withdrawing Fire: If the Disciple wins IV he or she  may now withdraw one hex and fire as normal with all
the benefits from evading, or  by rolling under 3 X AG they may tumble backwards two hexes and shoot from a
kneeling position with an additional +10% (Total of +20%) added on their chance to hit.

Rank 9: Overdraw:  A Disciple is able to push his or her bow to the limit and may overdraw the tension on the bow
in an attempt to add more damage or distance.  The Disciple must roll under 5 X MD to successfully overdraw
other wise they fail and must pass that pulse, the bow is not damaged.  If they succeed they do double damage
with the bow if the opponent is within 50% of the range or they may increase the original range of the bow by 50%.
(This effectively doubles the range of a bow)

Rank 10: Rapid Fire:  In addition to the two arrows a Disciple may fire per pulse in combat, they may increase that
number by sacrificing speed for accuracy. They may fire an addition arrow at the cost of 10% to hit and 2 to
damage, there is no limit to the number of arrows they may fire other than base chance and damage.  This attack
may be combined with evading or with the Withdrawing Fire maneuver.
