ELETI
The Eleti are a race of free willed undead that look for the most part like
skeletons.  The Eleti are truly undead, but they have a free will and are not
bound by any course of action.   Eleti do not depend upon magics to sustain
their life.   Whatever unknown magics caused their creation the Eleti are able
to propagate their race.   Eleti try to keep their identity hidden if at all possible
since most races presume they are undead and therefore evil.  While some
Eleti might become evil, most are free to form whatever opinions they want
about the various races.   Since few races readily befriend undead, Eleti value
their companions and prove to be loyal friends and trusted companions.
Because of their undead nature Eleti do have a number of special benefits
and draw backs that result from their unusual existence.  Eleti do their best to
try and conceal the fact that they are undead and will often dwell in dense
urban areas where they can easily get lost in the crowd, or they tend to dwell
in areas where the local wear sufficient clothing to conceal their skeletal figure.
Eleti bear a striking resemblance to Liches & Skeletal Warriors and have been
mistaken for them in the past, but the sentient eyes of the Eleti reveal that
there is something more here than an ordinary undead.   Stories of good
Liches and helpful skeleton warriors may have been Eleti that assisted
adventurers.

1. Because they are undead and skeletal, Eleti are immune to Class A
weapons. They are also immune to diseases, poisons and infection. They are
not effected by grievous injuries unless those injuries are dismembering or
incapacitating injuries.   They take ½ damage from non-magical weapons
once those weapons have penetrated armor.
2. Eleti have ultra vision which allows them to see things in dark up to 500 feet.
3. For all practical purposes Eleti have resist pain, they are incapable of being
stunned by damage. They cannot be knocked out.
4. Eleti are immune to the effects of the lesser & greater undead.  They can
still be attacked and harmed by them, but specialized attacks designed
(disease & life draining) to harm the living have no effect on Eleti.
5. Spells and weapons designed to effect the Undead work normally against
Eleti.
6. Eleti are effected by the turning and command abilities of the priest skill.
7. Eleti do not need to eat, drink, breathe or sleep.  They do need to rest to
regain lost FT.
8. Eleti have a special affinity for necromancy since they are undead and add
10% to spells cast from the College of Necromantic Conjurations or Cryptic
Bindings.
9. Eleti may not be resurrected.  Once they are destroyed a Necromancer or
Binder may try to recall their spirit but an ordinary healer cannot bring them
back.  The shattered remains of the Eleti must be gathered in order for an
attempt to be made.
10. Healing spells do no work on Eleti, but they regain 6 FT per hour of sitting
or standing, and 4 any other time.
11. One weapon at ½ the required exp
12. One adventuring skill at ½ the required exp except Beastmaster which
cost double because animals have a natural avoidance of Eleti.
13. Horsemanship cost double and with -15% on rolls to control
14. Eleti do not roll on the bogey table.
