DWARF
Dwarves are a short and stocky race that lives in hills and mountainous regions.  Most dwarves do not get over
four feet in height, but they are exceptionally strong and rugged.  Hill & Mountain dwarves live underground and
work in cave and mines.  Duergar live deep underground and rarely frequent the surface world except on raids.
Dwarves have a fondness for precious metals and finely crafted items and will hoard them at times.  Although this
may be seen as greedy by other races, dwarves are unusually honest and straightforward.  Dwarves tend to be
very prideful and can be easily provoked into a fight with hostile remarks.  Dwarves do not mind working with
elves but often find them annoying and irresponsible.  Dwarves hate orcs and their kindred and need little or no
reason to attack them.  However, dwarves have been known to work with them more frequently since the
invasions of the darkspawn have begun.  Dwarves enjoy working with gnomes, and they will often dwell in mixed
communities.  Dwarves enjoy visiting with hobbits, but tend to think they are a little lazy when it comes to working
or adventuring.  Dwarves enjoy the company of stone giants and will work with them.  Dwarves hate drow and
duergar and will attack them for any reason.  Dwarves hate hordlings, ratkins, beastlords, and all other dark
spawned creatures.  Duergars tend to hate anything that is not a duergar.  They will occasionally work with the
drow but it is usually just a matter of time before one side turns on the other.  Duergar have a strong hatred for
dwarves and gnomes and will show them no mercy in combat.  All dwarves tend to live for about 900 years.
