Mirer-Agzad’s History of Arenas
In ages long past dwelt the Ancients. The Ancients were the Gods of Arenas when the world was young. They were
mighty beings who shaped the lands and legends of Arenas. For untold eons they ruled the Planes and held off the
demonic hordes. But with the passing of time the demonic hordes overwhelmed the Ancients. The Ancients were
annihilated by the demons and their memory and power was dispersed to the Planes. Although the Ancients lost their
war against the demons they cursed all of reality. The Curse is really a blessing for mortals for the Ancients bestowed
their powers among them. Mortals could now rise up and destroy the demons and lead Arenas from total darkness.
The Ancients did not foresee a time when new “Gods” would arrive, and the Curse left these new “Gods” as vulnerable
as the demons. Ages would come and pass in Arenas with various forces dominating the plane. The following Ages
have been listed for your understanding.

The history of Arenas and the Curse of the Ancients has shaped the current structure of nations, religion and politics.
The Gods, Demons, Titans and other powerful beings are not beings of unlimited power. The Curse has made them
vulnerable to possible defeat at the hands of mortals. It is unlikely that mortals could ever defeat these beings on their
home planes, but in the world of Arenas it is possible for mortals to defy their power. Demons would more than likely
dominate Arenas were it not for their many enemies. The Gods and Titans wage a relentless war against them, the
Undead defy and attack them, and Dragons destroy their cults and centers of power on Arenas. This current age is
one of darkness but there are signs of hope that we shall see a new age of Heroes or Gods. It is unlikely that Arenas
will ever see an age of peace and prosperity like it did during the Age of the Ancients. The Age of Mortals did much to
damage the trust and cooperation among the races that had grown during the prior Reign of Darkness.
